City Wide Vacuum is a vacuum cleaner retailer and repair shop in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been managing their SEO since early 2018 and recently it was decided that the website needed a new design to freshen the experience for visitors and boost traffic and conversions. The main goals of the website re-build were to clear up the visual hierarchy (which means to clarify the important elements and actions for the user), and give the site a modern and fresh look.

City Wide Vacuum SERP
The result of the ongoing SEO efforts for City Wide has been a dominant number one rank on the search engine results page (SERP) for the major keywords "vacuums salt lake city" and "vacuum repair salt lake city". Notice that City Wide sits atop the results on the page and in the 3-pack (the three Google Maps results at the top of the page).
One of the challenges for getting a number one rank is getting enough page autority and relevance to overcome the Yelp, Facebook, Angie's List and other popular directories that do a good job of ranking high for the the same keywords. The key to ranking above these listings, which often carry rich results, is to provide enough specific content to optimize the page as more relevant than the various listings.
Periodically, I have reviewed the keyword and page performance for City Wide Vacuum. From there I design link building and citation efforts to strengthen weaker pages. I encourage every client I work with to regularly blog about their business and market. It's a great way to add important content to your website in order to strengthen SEO as well as give a place for referrals to land as landing pages for social sharing and other campaigns.
Rank Performance
I started working on SEO for City Wide Vacuum in the spring of 2018. Since then, rank has continually strengthened for the website overall, and for the essential landing pages for the business. Over this time there have been efforts in several SEO disciplines to improve the site and page authority for City Wide. Link building, Citations, Content and Page Optimizations, Site Optimizations, Content creation efforts and more have all been employed on behalf of the client.
